Hello, I am Charlotte
I’m a project manager. a parent. An expat living in Bordeaux, France.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What started as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to France wasn’t in the original plan. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complicated than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of practical learning. Yet gradually routines settled in. We found places that worked for us, connected with other families, and began shaping something that felt steady.
Why I Created MeadowStoneBridge
Online information mostly fell into corporate relocation advice or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — actionable guidance rooted in real life in France.
